Santa Bags

I haven't posted but I am working!  The Santa Bags are going together easily but....finding the hardware for them is a nightmare.  This was supposed to be an inexpensive idea for presents for the nieces, etc.  If I buy the kit to finish the bags each bag would cost about $30!  The fabric and trim is only about $5 per bag so I need to find a way to fabricate the wire frame and hangers.  I do love the bags though!

And....drum roll please...I have taken the little Christmas stocking wall hanging off of the wall and I'm going to finish it come he.. or high water and have it hanging by Christmas!

Obsession

How easy it is to become obsessed by something....thankfully not someone!  I have become obsessed at reading blogs by other quilters and designers.  I love the colors they use and words used to describe the projects.  I love seeing how the items are displayed and seeing the designers in the life they choose to show.  So...once again, I have this thing that is keeping me from being one of those who do and makes me one who watches.  I need to flip the sheet and get over to the other side!

Dept. 56 Houses

It's that time....the Halloween Houses must come down and the Christmas ones readied to go up.  I have to wait a couple of days to put Christmas up since Mike's (and our) new television set is being delivered on Thursday and the houses sit above the area where it will be going.  He is getting a set that is 'internet ready' with a Google box that will allow him to use the t.v. as his computer and surf, etc. while he is watching t.v. or just surfing on a 55" screen!  He better be careful at what e-mails he opens in the public viewing area...

IPad

Do you have an IPad?  I don't know if I could do without one now that I have experienced life with one.  I love it!  I love having the world at my fingertips no matter where I am.  I love having my notes easily accessible, my recipes in my purse when I'm at the grocery store and that's not even touching on the fact that my books, magazines, quilting journals and so much more are always ready to be read.  Oh yes, I can do my banking, pay my bills, look at quilts, read blogs, look at he beautiful faces of my family, edit and share photos.....need I say more?!  It's one of those things I would replace immediately if something happened to it.

Early Start

Well, I am not sure I can even fathom this but I actually bought the pattern and some fabric to start my Christmas present making!  I am making all the family (brothers, nieces, kids) Santa candy cane bags.  Let's see...I'll need to make 8-10 bags...I wonder if I will finish early????

At Last

Whew...finally I have either figured out how to have multiple 'pages' that are linked or I have created a work around that fills my needs.  Now, hopefully, I can keep track of projects and memories all in one place.

Nearing Completion

Wow...It's been a process!  I have been determined to master customization of my blog and I think....I hope...that I almost have it done.  I want to keep track of my many....way too many...projects.  The thought process here is that I will work a bit harder if I am posting my progress.  Of course, I think one blogger I follow said that until we 'STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER' that sewing projects will not progress!
